Irrigation of Native Grasses Learning Webinar

  • Wednesday, April 17, 2024
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • Teams

This even is hosted by the Colorado Native Grass Working Group.

Irrigation systems can be a major help when installing native grasses. We’ll discuss how much irrigation investment is necessary for a native grass conversion, how to water native grasses for germination and establishment, and how to achieve water savings through irrigation scheduling for mature grass stands. There will be a short 30-minute presentation followed by an opportunity for discussion and sharing amongst attendees.

Lance Ackerman is a senior water conservation specialist with Colorado Springs Utilities. He is CLIA certified and received a BS in Environmental Horticulture from Colorado State University. In his role with Colorado Springs Utilities, Lance is the program manager for their commercial turf replacement program, irrigation audit program and is active within Colorado’s Green industry. In his time away from work, Lance enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing, and spending time with his family.
