Native Grass Education Series: HOA Case Study - Native Grass Conversion at Coal Creek Village

Description: In this educational session of the Native Grass Working Group, we’ll learn about the project that Coal Creek Village HOA implemented onsite. After a project overview, Ralph Frid, HOA Board Member, will talk about what was done to create community buy in, the project timeline and goals, hurdles, and lessons learned.

Presented by Ralph Frid, facilitated by Lyndsey, Lucia, Senior Water Efficiency Specialist with Northern Water As a young engineer, Ralph worked at Ford before joining Hughes Aircraft where he won its coveted Inventor Award for breakthroughs that also earned the Navy’s Highest award for exceptional design and production accomplishments. He later joined Hewlett-Packard and became the company’s first principal consultant in the United States. He advised many firms in aerospace, telecommunication and service-based industries on the use of emerging technology and spoke internationally at engineering symposiums on advanced product development. His expertise lies in the area of using emerging technologies to creatively solve difficult problems markets that can be particularly volatile and difficult to predict. Ralph holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Masters in Management from the University of Redlands, and earned a Master’s and Doctorate in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding University.
